PIET was established in the year 2006 by Vidhyapeeth Education Trust, under the guidance of Shri Hari Om Tayal Ji.  At that time there was a dearth of good educational institutions in the region. There were few outstanding colleges in Delhi NCT, but in Haryana, this was the first of its kind institution. Earlier it was known as PITE (Panipat Institute of Textile and Engineering). However, later when Computer Science and Electronics and Communication started becoming its flagship programs, it changed its name to PIET. Later it kept on creating legacies one after another in the form of most beloved schools under the brand name PIET Sanskriti School and its degree college that is PIET NCR College.

Coming back to the top ten reasons which makes PIET an excellent place for studying.

 

1.      OPPORTUNITIES

First and foremost reason would be the kind of opportunities which institution provides to its students. Prospects are ranging from various curricula to extracurricular activities. The institution provides excellent exposure to its students through numerous workshops, inter-college competitions, guest lectures, certification courses, alumni interaction, and fantastic sports events. Also the global exposure in terms of International internships, collaborations, and student exchange programs with foreign universities such as the University of California, USA; Aarhus University, Denmark; Texas Tech University, USA.

Another thing which makes it a fantastic destination for education is it's well qualified, dedicated, and most importantly, a passionate pool of faculties. Most of them have PhDs or are fellows at IITs, NITs, or various other reputed Central and State Universities. Besides full-time professors, the college also organizes guest lecturers from the faculties of IITs and IIMs, and industry expert interactions transform the students into market-ready professionals. Besides, in PIET, students are motivated to collaborate with faculties in doing research work and publication, which leads to increased research intelligence in the students.

PIET supports new education policy by providing interdisciplinary learning. With conventional high demand programs such as Hons in English, Economics, and B.Com it also provides vast choices in emerging courses such as in BTech Hons programs in Machine learning, AI, Data Science, Smart Cities, and Robotics.

With the advent of PIET NCR College, it will be astonishing to see when students of Artificial Intelligence will attend English poetry competitions and students of economics will collaborate with the BTech Civil Engineering students on the projects related to smart cities. Interdepartmental tie-ups, competitions, workshops assist in broadening the knowledge paradigms of the students. This the possibility will help them in thinking out of the box because many questions can be solved by high-level machine learning techniques, whereas some queries can be resolved only through poetry.

Affiliation from two NAAC A Grade Universities, i.e. Kurukshetra University and Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma, University of Health Sciences. With approval from AICTE, Pharmacy Council of India and accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation helps in positioning the institution's reliable and quality centric approach. Institute dwells to improve its standards with the passage of every academic year to move towards excellence.

The serene campus away from the crowded and noisy cities is surrounded by greenery. PIET's campus is spotless and has won several awards for its cleanliness. Mostly the solar energy powers this Hi-tech campus. Even though have placed this down on the chart but I adore this attribute of the college the most. The peaceful campus is great for studies, research, and most importantly, for introspection. Campus with diverse multi-cultural and multi-ethnic student base, having students not only from different states but countries help students in better understanding of other cultures and becoming more empathetic. Besides the worldwide alumni networks also help in student's personal and professional life.

 

7.      EXCELLENT TRAINING, PLACEMENTS, AND ENTREPRENEURIAL DEVELOPMENT
